We have recently completed a review for a board of governors to examine the impact of a shared leadership set up they were trialing. The Headteacher had requested to work part-time and had been doing so for a term with a Deputy Head stepping up as Co-Headteacher on when she wasn't on site.
We interviewed staff and surveyed other stakeholders before writing up a report for governors on the strengths and limitations of the temporary arrangement and suggested ways to move forward with it.
